I simply drag the XDCAM-EX clip to the preview monitor and I'm good to go. (Not the most accurate transcription - but you said it didn't have to be perfect) Here are the details.

naartjie gello Nov 10, 2011 5:04 AM (in response to Ed Edited It Productions)Ed, I would love to use the built-in transcription functionality, but I live in Zimbabwe and local accents here are very different to US accents. This is an example of what I got when I tried it in one interview section:
"Since the things the church and for Wayne we hadn't paid his problem and promised to post more constraints I used to heat tool the home means so good until creamy feed its people small goods weekend to compete and nose I stood three b of the new ball it soon if the bees can put you to the coast"
What the interviewee actually said is:
"It's the weather. It is also natural region 4 where we are encouraging farmers to grow small grains but farmers here are used to growing sadza from maize so they continue growing maize instead of small grains which can give them better yields."
There's a difference between not the most accurate and unusable!
