I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out why Premiere doesn't like this clip.
I'm trying to deinterlace several DV clips. The deinterlacer I'm using is through AviSynth (and VirtualDub), and I'm converting the DV footage to Lagarith. This deinterlacer converts the 29.97 fps to 59.94. So anyway, I'm working with six clips of varying lengths. They all convert fine, and work properly when I import them into Premiere except for one. That one, no matter what I try, always imports only the first 2 and half minutes and that's it. I tried the conversion with audio and without, converting the frame rate within VirtualDub back to 29.97... nothing works. No matter what, the video only imports 2.5 min. Now, if I import the original DV footage it works fine. But for the life of me I can't figure out why the other five clips work fine, but this one refuses. They were all captured at the exact same time with the exact same settings.
How does the clip play outside of PP?
Plays fine and in full in Windows Media Player.
I think I got it fixed. For some reason, even though in VirtualDub, the frame rate was set to Current (59.94) Premiere wasn't liking the outcome. I had to set the change the rate to 59.94 and it took. Still weird Premiere liked the other files, but found this one to be a problem. Oh well.
