I have a indd doc. How can I tell how the dimensions of the pages?
(making this up) if the pages are 8.5 x 11 inches and I want to convert the indd to 17 x 22 inches...IS IT EASY TO blow the dimensions up. I have high-res images and the 8.5x11...when I double the size will they still be sort-of still sharp?
I should make sure I let you know...not only do I want the PAGES to be bigger, I want the existing artwork and text to double in size too. I want everything proportionally larger. Thanks, -bill

The easiest way to deal with enlarging your page is to either export as PDF and let the printer scale it in the RIP, or to place the original ID page into a new files of the size you want and scale the placed page. There's a nice script to do this at InDesignSecrets » Blog Archive » Zanelli Releases MultiPageImporter for Importing both PDF and INDD Files
As for the images, if you double the size, you halve the "effective" resolution. How much effective resolution you need depends on the purpose of the document and the printing method, so without further information it's hard to tell you if this will be acceptable.
