What model camera?
Can you reproduce this problem with, say, a CR2 file from your model camera that's already online somewhere? If so, I'll be happy to try opening the same file.
Chances are pretty good that the problem is on your specific machine, since Adobe does test out their stuff pretty well. If that's the case, you might check to see if there are any display driver updates for your video card from the web site of the maker of same. Video driver updates solve a lot of problems.
I was using the old version of ACR with my 400D but I replaced it with 1100D.
So I had to update ACR with Adobe Updater then none of the CR2 files worked even from 400D
I tried reinstalling but didn't help. It's working fine on another computer.
Scout around on your computer for copies of Camera Raw.8bi that are in different versions.
Also, re-download the update. Maybe something got corrupted. Clearly it can work, as you have seen on your other computer.
There's only one version of Camera Raw.8bi (v6.4.1 x86 and v6.4.1 x64)
Is there anyway to do a clean install? Any solution?
I dont want to reinstall windows
I was removing all of the Adobe products until I found a problem here:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\Camera\Canon EOS 350D
There was system file problem that fixed it with checkdisk.
Then I could remove those three remaining files and reinstalled Adobe products
