You can easily insert a SWF file via the insert menu: Choose SWF, browse and select. That's the simple answer, but depending on how many files there are and how big they are could add too much weight to the page and slow down loading.
Tried that....only opens a new browser window....I want to play vaious flash files (test
graphics or maybe flash slideshow that are linked to various button
s on a single page. And these swf files are played not in another opened browser page but
within a certain area within the webpage..??
Sorry...guess you can tell that I am pretty new to this...I dont even know the terminology to ask the question appropriately. I am working through tthe the tutorials...but cant find anyting specific yet.
Any other suggestions...??
You would need to implement a Flash player that supports playlists. Depending on your coding skills, you can build one yourself in Flash Pro or use a 3rd party product like FlowPlayer below:
You must have tried linking to a flash file from an image or something, as just inserting a SWF into a page would not open a new window. But that is moot now that we have a better idea of what you want to do. Nancy's solution is your best bet. Just make sure that whatever player you use will support any media types that you intend to use with it, as most of them that you'll find out there will most likely be just video players.
