My 5 minute 720p project renders to h264 in about 6 minutes. But if I want to burn timecode onto it, it turns into a 25 minute render. I understand that it has to re-render each frame. But that seems like a huge time penalty for such a simple effect. Any suggestions how to burn timecode into projects without burning up a lot of time?
Export the edit and reimport it as a single (avi) file and create a sequence from it. Add BITC to the sequence.
Is that shorthand for British Imperial Time Code?
Get a CUDA GPU. Timecode is an accelerated effect, and will let your export go much faster.
Burnt in timecode. Pronounced Bitsee.
