1. Re: Multiplexer that's compatible with Encore
Stan Jones Sep 17, 2011 6:49 PM (in response to Howard Hoffman)Your muxers are probably introducing something that is not spec, but possibly not.
I think you should simply bring the assets in without muxing. If you need to mux just for review that fine, but why mux the asset to bring into Encore?

2. Re: Multiplexer that's compatible with Encore
Howard Hoffman Sep 17, 2011 7:32 PM (in response to Stan Jones)That's why I am asking if there is a muxer that would work.
The file is rather large. Muxing to review takes time. And I can't find player that can play m4v properly (and with ac3 in sync). Is there such a player?

3. Re: Multiplexer that's compatible with Encore
JSS1138 Sep 17, 2011 7:49 PM (in response to Howard Hoffman)VLC, KM Player, GOM Player, UM Player all play .mp4 files just fine.
You should leave the files as is when using them in Encore. Don't mux them first.

4. Re: Multiplexer that's compatible with Encore
Howard Hoffman Sep 17, 2011 8:16 PM (in response to JSS1138)I have VLC and it can't play the m4v from AME.
Any of these play can play both the m4v and ac3 in sync at the same time? MPC can do it for m2v and ac3, not m4v.

5. Re: Multiplexer that's compatible with Encore
JSS1138 Sep 18, 2011 8:55 AM (in response to Howard Hoffman)I have no problems using VLC to play my AME .mp4 exports. But no, most playback software won't play two files at the same time. If you want that, create an export with audio.
But for authoring in Encore, it's still best to create two separate files.
