Indesign cs5 on VMWARE- added fonts not showing

    patchonline

We just installed Indesign cs5 on a VMWARE machine, but Indesign can't find the extra fonts we need (Helvetica Neuer) and is showing them as being replaced by highlighting the text in pink.

Where should the extra fonts be installed ?

      Thanks,

I've never used VMWare, but it isn't an OS all by itself, so presumably you've installed Windows or OS X inside it. As a general rule, ID would find fonts from multiple locations. On Windows these would be fonts installed into the System Fonts folder, or copied to either Adobe Common Fonts folder or the ID private Fonts folder. Mac will also look in system fonts and the two Adobe Fonts folders, but it should also be able to see fonts in you user library fonts folder.
