If you just need the .swf from that movie, just select Test Movie... from the Control menu. The .swf file should be right next to the original .fla.
Thanks Rob...I'll give that a try.
I got back to this and I tried what you suggested and I'm still not seeing the swf in the client folder so that I can add the flash to their website. Help??
If you are using a Windows computer, look at the Publish Settings... option in the File menu. You will see a path for each file type that can be saved. Change the path. Macs don't usually get odd file paths inserted, but there might be something unusual there if you're on a Mac.
using a windows computer, looked at the publish settings in the file menu. The path was showing C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Placer Grown\images\hm_whatsnew0911.swf I changed it to C:\Documents and Settings\Debi\Desktop\hm_whatsnew0911.swf and I'm still not able to get the .swf file so that I can load it to my clients website.
I'm totally baffled. Should I reinstall Flash??
Thanks for any more help.

Try doing a search for the file "hm_whatsnew0911.swf" on your computer. See if Flash IS making the file and, if so, where it is putting the file.
Also try just deleting everything from that path listing. This should force Flash to place the .swf right next to the .fla.
