I am using ID in CS2 on Windows 7 and I am new to ID (used PageMaker for over 15 years).
From a previous discussion, I found that the way to select multiple objects is to hold down the Shift key and click each object with the Selection tool. Is there any way to speed this operation up?
In PageMaker I could use a marquee to select multiple objects that are totally contained in the marquee. I often want to select 20 or more objects to move, delete, cut, or copy. These objects are typically closely grouped. Use of Shift click for each object would be very laborious.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
If you used layers, you could simply alt+click the layer name. That would select everything on that layer.
Absent that, shift click it is.
You can still marquee, but you'll select everything the marquee touches, not just what it surrounds. It is stillusually faster to do this, then Shift + Click to remove an unwanted item, or Shift and marquee a bunch of unwanted items, than to click on things one at a time.
