Can I do it by programming: Delecting page number and add script to event?
Yes. The current page number is this.pageNum and you can use the
setPageAction() method to set the Open or Close action of a specific page.
Sorry for hijacking the thread...
Can this method also do something like this...
If text(page number) = a real number
make a page number to it
If page 6 on pdf is really page 6
then set that page to page 6
I don't follow you... How can the page number not be number, or are you
talking about the page label?
I am looking for a way to do the following.
Manually, most production personnel at Magazine companies do double checks on their sequence of their page numbering in the PDF file to ensure that the order is correct eg. 1(Front cover), 2 (Inside Front cover), 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
So. I am looking for a way for the computer to simply count for me the order of the page numbers. AND IF there is any pages which are out of the order (e.g. 1,2,4,3,5,6), then let the user know.
Do you mean that you want to check if the page number printed on the page
corresponds to its actual position in the file?
Also...taking into count that sometimes the Front cover and inside front cover is sometimes not given a page number, and the pages following the Inside Front cover will go as follows OFC, IFC, 1,2,3... and so on and so forth.
That can be problematic. First of all, the file must be OCRed.
Secondly, in order to be able to identify the page number, it must be
- Always in the same location on the page
- Following or proceeding a certain phrase
- Always word number X on the page
