1. Re: How do I remove VueScan Twain
Chris Cox Sep 22, 2011 10:47 AM (in response to JerryPF)You have to remove the VueScan TWAIN driver -- it isn't a Photoshop plugin, but a system driver.

2. Re: How do I remove VueScan Twain
JerryPF Sep 22, 2011 3:07 PM (in response to Chris Cox)Thanks Chris
I've searched by name, but can't find the system driver, unless it doesn't go by the name of VueScan. Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

3. Re: How do I remove VueScan Twain
Chris Cox Sep 22, 2011 4:06 PM (in response to JerryPF)It would be installed in a system location, so searching probably won't find it.
And I have no idea what filenames VueScan uses.

5. Re: How do I remove VueScan Twain
azdawg99 Sep 22, 2011 5:14 PM (in response to JerryPF)Seems it does install a PS plugin as well as the Twain driver. From the release notes...
What's new in version 9.0.00
- Automatically installs Photoshop plugin and TWAIN driver
I'm on Lion and these files did not install (I installed VueScan before installing Ps). Try checking in Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Plug-ins/Import-Export folder and see if anything is in there.
Good luck!

6. Re: How do I remove VueScan Twain
JerryPF Sep 23, 2011 2:45 AM (in response to azdawg99)Thanks everyone for your help. I removed the Twain plugin from the Import-Export folder and that did the trick. I then downloaded the Twain plugin, via the Adobe site. When this is installed it reappears as VueScan. Its now deleted, I can do without Twain, although it was useful to scan from within Photoshop.
Kind regard,
