Please try the following steps which should resolve this error:
1. Download the stand alone uninstaller
2. Close all your browser windows
3. Run the uninstaller
4. Restart your computer
5. Delete the following folder, depending on your operating system type:
- Windows 32bit - c:\Windows\system32\macromed
- Windows 64bit - c:\windows\syswow64\macromed
6. Download and install Flash Player located here:
I have done everything as requested but still I have the problem.I am still being asked to download and install version 9 or greater as I do not have Flash Player installed,yet when I installed Flash Player I was being told that the instalation was successful!!!no it is not.What else can be causing the problem?
Thanks a lot Chris,problem now solved it was the ActiveX filtering causing me the problem.
