I have Windows 7, Adobe CS. I drew a picture of my dog that I want to use for a web page. In Photoshop I selected it with an elliptical shape and pasted it on a transparent layer. It now looks like my image is in a white oval. That's what I want to display on my web page. However, when I try to save it as a .jpeg, the entire layer turns white, and I end up with a square white page with my dog's picture in the middle. How can I get just the oval shape that I want, and do so in .jpeg format? Please help, thanks in advance.
Save it as png 24bit with transparency instead of jpeg. Jpeg format won't save transparency information.
