    Combining OnClick & OnMouseOut

    vickyjackson
Hi - currently working on a website with a lot of rollovers. (www.rt2designs.co.uk/test.htm)

If you have a look at the site you can see that so far the 'tshirts', 'posters' and about us' links are working so that the colours of the whole page change when you roll over those options. I have put the info section in the middle to appear 'onclick' which works fine.

However, what I would like to happen is for the middle section to stay up once clicked - until someone clicks on something else. At the moment when the mouse is then moved away from the area the image disappears. I have tried including an 'OnMouseOut' behaviour too - but then this causes the image to appear even if it hasn't been clicked which is not what I wanted.

Is there any way to use an if clause or something so the 'OnMouseOut' only occours if the 'OnClick' has been used???

Any help would be really appreciated.

      Many thanks,

      Vicky

          Hi Vicky,

I'm getting a Server Not Found alert from that URL.

OK. Don't use the button editor or the simple rollover behavior. Use the
swap image behavior instead, and uncheck the Restore image onMouseOut
box in the Swap Image Editor.

                Hi,

Thanks for that but that is what I've been doing. Even if it works for one I can't make it work for all the different things I have on the page. So for example I can make it work for Tshirts but then when I click posters the poster middle element will appear but then as soon as the mouse moves away Tshirts middle section can be seen again!

                It's so frustrating!

If I did all the tshirts etc as different pages with the fixed middle image is there anyway I can choose which frame (i.e colour) I want to start with.

I.e. if I created a tshirt page I would need it to load in the same colours as when you hover over tshirts so you can't tell that it is a different page. However, obviuosly I don't want to have to creat all the swap images again with a different starting frame.

Any help would be soooo appreciated!

                Thanks,
                Vicky
