I have been doing testing on using the fast web viewing to read files 1gb, 2gb, and even larger. I'm have these linearized files on an IIS web server. "Allow fast web view" is checked. I have tried the "Display PDF in browser" and also unchecked. My findings are mixed:
|Product||< 2 GB||> 2GB|
|7||byte served||full download|
|8||byte served||full download|
|9||full download||full download|
|10||full download||full download|
Does anyone know of a limitation of the fast web viewing? Has this feature been broken in version 9 & 10?
I'm feel I can assume this is not a web server problem, because Adobe Reader 7 & 8 files do use the fast web viewing.
Has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone tested large files using fast web view on Adobe 9 & 10?
