No video preview - blank white box

    nightofthelivingdevos

I just installed Premier Elements 9, and everything works fine, except for one thing.  When I’m editing video, all preview windows are blank white screens (see image below).  I can hear the audio, and when I export videos, everything’s fine.  I just can’t see what I’m editing.

My presets are set to the Standard 48 kHz.  I’ve tried several files: mpeg, avi, mov, and mp4.  None of them will preview.  Same white box for all of them.

      Here’s my system info:

      Dell ProBook 4310s

Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3

      Intel Core 2 Duo T6570 (2.1 Ghz)

      3 Gigs of RAM

300 GB hard drive (Hitachi HTS723232L9A360)

      Video adapters:

      • DisplayLink Graphics Adapter (driver date 10-3-09, version 6.12.10.501)
      • DisplayLink Mirror Adapter (driver date 10-3-09, version 6.13.10.501)
      • Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family (driver date 3-25-09, version 6.14.10.5047)
      • Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family (driver date 3-25-09, version 6.14.10.5047)

Process Scheduling and Memory Usage are set to “Adjust for best performance of programs”

Virtual Memory – total paging file size for all drivers is 2046MB

Also, I’ve updated Windows, updated my video adapter drivers, updated Quicktime, and updated Premiere.  I spent an hour on tech support and they replaced some of the Premiere drivers with ones that are supposed to fix display driver issues.  Same problem.

      HELP!!!!
