Windows 7 System only recognizing 16GB out of 24GB newly installed

    rowby Level 1

Just installed 24GB of memory on my Windows 7, P6X58D PREMIUM motherboard.

I found a utility, CPU-Z, that examines my system.  CPU-Z shows the 24GB but Windows 7 says only 16 GB is "Installed".

      Using Corsair Vengeance DDR3 (6 x4GB)

I see this issue doing a Google search, that is, Windows only regognizing 16GB in some instances.

Wondering if any of you have come across this and have any suggestions.

Attached is the readout (very long!) of the CPU-Z report.
