OK, now I see it, it's under Window -> Optimize.
Still though, is there no way to reset the workspace to its default configuration
like in Flash?
I am running Windows 7 64-bit with Fireoworks CS4.
According to the book Adobe Fireworks CS4 How-Tos: 100 Essential Techniques
a user should be able to save the current workspace via:
Window > Workspace Layouts > Save Current
However my Window menu does not display a Workspace Layouts item.
Am I looking in the wrong place? Anyone else have this issue?
I can't recall how much or if this changed since CS4 (and forgive me as I'm on my Mac at the moment) but the Worspace layouts shoudl be a menu item near the bottom of the Window menu. If you can't find it, check to see if the Workspace Switcher is active in the toolbar just above the document window. You should see a search field in nearby. I'm going by (foggy) memory, here, but I hope this helps.
That's because it can be found right at the top right side of your Fireworks screen in a drop down. The default views are Iconic Mode, Expanded Mode and Iconic Mode with Panel Names. To save your own workspace just click Save Current in the drop down and give it a name. The last workspace mode you closed your Fireworks in will be the startup mode for the next time you open Fireworks.
Hope this helped.
