How is the x variable set? There is no form field that provides a circle or ellipse outline, but you can cobble together one with the help of a button, as demonstrated with: https://acrobat.com/#d=JBzD4guSToeYu0qLkvfvgA
I am pre-populating a Pdf file based upon the data submitted by the user. And I have to circle options selected in the form.
I am writing coldfusion code to flatten, populate the form into a PDF form. The end result is the PDF generation with all the data in it.
The data comes from the database, where I set variable values if any is selected or not.
Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate your help.
Circling something will be more difficult than simply specifying the value of a field. What sort of PDF manipulation API are you using to modify the PDF?
You might consider redesigning the document, if possible, so you can use a check box or radio button to indicate a selection, as opposed to circling a word.
I am using Acrobat 9 Pro to edit form fields in the PDF and then using Dreamviewer to code in Coldfusion to popluate and flatten the PDF file.
I thought of re-designing the whole document with Check boxes in front of the options selected, thats sounds the only option to me.
Thanks for all the help. I really appreciate your time and patience.
