I am looking at creating a Typograph video. In one of the instances of my video, I use the word "Differences". I would like to cause the individual fonts of the individual letters of the word to alternate for several seconds multiple times to help emphasize the word. Is there a way to do this with expressions or animation presets so I don't have to do this frame by frame?
No. Expressions cannot access font face styling and an animation preset only contains what you animtaed once before - what's not there, is not there.
I've done this kind of animation by creating a layered illustrator file with copies of the type with the different fonts on different layers. This allows precise alignment and more control over the type. You would then import the .ai file as a comp. Trim the layers and then sequence them.
Thanks. I may just have to try that. Definitely sounds like a better alternative.
