How to optimize my new computer for Video Editing?

      Hello all!

So I recently built a new computer for video editing purposes.  I tried to make it into a fast machine, but Premiere Pro CS5.5 is still acting a little jerky when previewing my movies.

      Here are my computer's specs:

      -Windows 7 64-bit

      -Intel i7 Quad Core processor

      -NVidia GeForce GTX 570 GPU

      -16 GB of RAM

-Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB 10000 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive (for my OS and programs)

-Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive (for backup/file storage)

Premiere Pro is fine with previewing my HD 1920x1080 footage when there's no effects/color correction on them, but once I add any color correction then the previews start to get jittery (very little clips have the yellow bar above them, mostly they show red, plus my GPU usage doesn't really go up that much when I'm using the Mercury Playback Engine).  Is there anything I can do to optimize my computer for the Mercury Playback Engine?  I really expected this computer to eat through my Premiere Pro projects.

      Thank you in advance! :-)
