Here's the scenario - I've got a series of chapters that I've edited on separate timelines. I've mixed each. I'd now like to copy them all onto one timeline but keep the mix settings for each chapter. Is there a way to do this? In the future, I guess it would be smarter to copy the chapters over to one timeline and then do the mix there. I figure one option would be to export each audio timeline as a wav file and then replace the raw audio tracks with the wav files on the timeline where I'm compiling the clips. But - is there a way to copy mix settings from a clip I've mixed in one timeline to the same clip that I've copied to another timeline? Many thanks.
If the mix settings are in the mixer, and not in effects applied to the actual clips, then you will have to nest the sequences or export out a .wav to keep that mix.
Thanks - nesting was the way to go.
