Fishing for votes: DONE magazine for iPad and Android

Hey folks!

DONE — Explorations in Art, Crafts and Science

my graduation project is a digital magazine about Art, Typography and Media. It is a proof of concept how far you can go with the integration of HTML and even facebook comments and twitter sharing. you may have heard about a few things I made in that magazine on my blog digitalpublishing.tumblr.com — and I will share more Best Practices soon.

This magazine is up for the Adobe MAX Award, today at MAX in LA.

Johannes I'm afraid the voting had closed but you would have got my vote for attempting to stretch the boundaries of this new medium. I am sure you will graduate with a first class degree and thank you for sharing your ideas and advice with us here and in the prerelease forum. Best of luck. Graham

Hey Johannes

You had my vote before the deadline, now have my thanks and compliments on sharing work about the Adobe DPS and the production techniques you use. DONE is a fantastic project, I loved every minute on it and, especially, all the time I spent deconstructing it.

I'd love to see more "Best Practices" stuff in your Tumblr, let me know if I can help with ideas, etc.

Absolutely amazing! Much better than Wired!

I am a newbe, but to me DONE seems to go well beyond what one can do with the standard Indesign animations.

Are these kinds of animations (I mean even much less nice) at the reach of normal user with no programming skills like me? Are there tutorials somewhere that explain how to do it (or something similar)?

it seem to be noted that my magazine contains no animations at all,
everything is done in InDesign.
except: Painting in HTML and multi-touch Moirè near the end.
