Is there anyway with InDesign to share or copy a layer to another spread or page?

I'm making some screen mock-ups in InDesign CS 5.5 and I'd like to be able to use some of the same header elements on each page.  In Fireworks, I could share a layor to pages and that way I could modify it once & it would be modified in all pages with that layer.  I would like to be able to do that, but if that's not possible, can I copy a layer or two from one page to another?
