    How make a 16x9 1.78 from a 2.35 hard matte file

           <<working on a Mac Pro 8-core, OSX 10.5.8, After Effects CS4.>>

Please forgive the amatuer question.  I have a 1920x1080 10Bit uncompressed Quicktime with a hard 2.35 matte embedded in the picture.  I need to render it out to a 16x9 1.78 file of the highest resolution possible.  This will mean the that current edges of the embedded 2.35 matte will become the tops and bottoms of the rendered 16x9, and the left and right edges will be cropped.   Could anyone tell me how to do this?

      Many thanks
