I'm also having problems w/Adobe Reader X running WIN7 (64bit).
Double clicking on PDF does not launch doc. Nothing works for Reader X. Can open with Life Cycle Designer 8.2.
Tried to delete app and reinstall. Could not delete app.
Does anyone know what is going on with my Reader X configuration?
Are you saying that double clicking on the PDFs is not working while a drag drop operation works?
Please try repairing the Reader installation as below:
1. Kill all instances of AcroRd32.exe from the task manager.
2. Launch Control Panel and select the Programs and Features option.
3. Locate the entry for Adobe Reader X. Right click and select Change.
4. Follow the instructions on screen to repair the installation and restart if necessary
Hopefully this should fix things at your end.
Sounds like real good advice. When you say "Task Manager" are you referring to something found on the "Control panel" or is it found when you push Control, Alt, Delete? Sorry, not a techie.
Sorry for the confusion. I was talkin about the window that pops up when you press Control + Alt +Delete (or Control +Shift + Esc).
Excellent suggestion. It worked. Thanks
