i have a 64 bit operating system; windows 7, and all my programs (including Internet explorer) are 64 bit operating systems as well. i went to the adobe labs to download a 64 bit version of flash and followed the downloading instructions and closed Internet explorer. (i did uninstall all previous versions of flash player first). download is successful but installation is what is the problem; keeps telling me the application isn't found. i don't know what's going on.
(have made sure internet has proper settings in tools and system area; following trouble shooting links) (previous version of 10.XXX was only allow about half the stuff on certain sites to be seen or work)
The Adobe labs most likely still carry the beta version; download the release version installer(s) from http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550
Note that the 64-bit installer (for 64-bit Windows) will install both 32-bit and 64-bit editions.
