1. Re: Any Way to Mass/Batch Deinterlace Frames from Video?
c.pfaffenbichler Oct 11, 2011 4:54 AM (in response to Ian R. Brown)You could record an Action and use File > Automate > Batch to process the other images.
But if you actually have to evaluate the images because some may not be affected or the lines are offset things are more complicated and you might be better off sorting them manually, then running the appropriate Action with Batch.

Ian R. Brown Oct 11, 2011 4:57 AM (in response to c.pfaffenbichler)WOW! That was fast!
I'm not too sure about how to record an Action etc. as I only use PS once every few months?

3. Re: Any Way to Mass/Batch Deinterlace Frames from Video?
c.pfaffenbichler Oct 11, 2011 5:06 AM (in response to Ian R. Brown)• Open one file
• Window > Actions
• create a new Action by clicking the fifth symbo from the left at the bottom
• perform the task
• stop the recording (leftmost button at the bottom)
Edit: If not absolutely necessary try to avoid Save-steps in the Action if you want to use it on a batch later on.
Then raise File > Automate > Batch, select the source and target folders and the Action to be run on the files.

Marian Driscoll Oct 11, 2011 5:25 AM (in response to Ian R. Brown)Deinterlacing might be best done in the video editing program that is aware of the adjacent frames. Photoshop is not aware of those adjacent frames.

Ian R. Brown Oct 11, 2011 6:04 AM (in response to Marian Driscoll)Thanks c.pfaffenbichier, it worked a treat with just one minor thing, probably caused by me not following the instructions perfectly.
As each photo appeared I also got a standard "Save" window (with JPEG and quality etc.) in which I had to click OK.
It only took a split second each time but is there a way of getting rid of that . . . . or what did I do wrong?
Your idea is the ideal one, Marian.
That was the first method I used but it involved messing with the video sequence and ending up with parts deinterlaced and others not.
