Hi, I have a document that requires top binding and uses spreads across both pages. I have the spread rotation thing down-pat but I would like to be able to change the viewport to make it simpler to view this format.
I understand that the pages I am working on are actually landscape and the portrait pages I see are merely for ease of viewing and that top edge binding isn't actualy supported and it's all really a bit of a fudge; that said, I would like the spreads to scroll horizontally, as opposed to the standard vertical axis they currently inhabit; making the spreads easier to work with.
Is there a way of changing the direction of the spread layout from up-down to left-right?
Thanks a lot
Not in the application window, but you can set the Pages panel to show spreads horizontally which makes lif a bit easier (and requires less space)
I already have that set and is indeed a more logical way to view the spreads in the pages panel. That way however, can confuse the unitiated as the spreads and icons are utterly opposite in how they view.
