This happened to us a very long time ago. I'm trying to remember what the problem was, and I vaguely remember it was related to settings of the printer/PPD in the "Printers and Faxes" window (you can access from the start menu).
When you go to the "Printers and Faxes" window, do you see the PPD installed for your printer? It should be in the list along with all the other regular printers listed. And then when you go to the "Advanced" tab under properties for that PPD, is the PPD driver chosen? If not, you might have to change that or find the driver for that PPD.
I was hoping that would install a generic "acrobat distiller" ppd that you could use in a pinch.
One of the old work arounds is to create a pdf and print from there, but if you are missing the ppds you may not be able to even do that.
I would like to thank everyone for your input and assistance. However, plain and simple, I am tired of messing with it, so I down loaded InDesign, started the 30 day trial and will work on purchasing it for him.
BTW, InDesign printed without any problems.
I hope that no one else has this issue in the future!
