I have the SAME problem - win 7 home premium, all patches current. Youtube in 64 bit and also 32 bit (IE 9.0.3 in 32 bit) - gives a message I need to install flash 10 or newer. I installed flash 11 64 bit
INTERESTING!! On the install there is an "option" to also install the latest CHROME.
When I run Chrome - FLASH does work in youtube.
It does NOT work in IE.
Is this a "Marketing" scheme to force Chome - effected by ZGoogle-Youtube??
VERY hard to believe this problem is "accidental" since QA procedures for a new release would certainly include testing the youtube interface.
This really makes me want to NOT use Chrome.
HOW COME there is no reply yet from Adobe!!
Weekend gap maybe?

That looks correct.
If you type
about:pluginsinto the Firefox address bar, can you see Shockwave Flash, and is it enabled? -

I don't see Shockwave Flash anywhere in your list. However, I see two RealPlayer plugins. I remember reading somewhere that the Flash Player plugin conflicts with the RealPlayer plugin.
I don't know what kind of conflict there is, but if I were in your situation I would try the following
- uninstall Flash Player (using the uninstaller from http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550)
- disable or uninstall both RealPlayer plugins
- reinstall Flash Player (using the installer from http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550)
Is the Shockwave Flash plugin now visible, and does Flash Player work?

nope. uninstalled flash and realplayer. reinstalled, no plugins visible for flash. still isnt working.

Well I went a little crazy and dumped windows and did a fresh os install. Got everything downloaded and updated and flash 11 now works. Dunno what I had that was conflicting but everything looks good now.
