The 560 works on many systems, it only requires the 'hack', a simple addition of a single line to a text file.
Have you considered to buy the card you want over the internet?
Is it one hundred percent certain ?
I mean, will it work properly if I buy a GTX 560 ?
If yes can you explain more how to hack it ? I mean not genereally, in technical way.
About internet shipping, I live in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina. We have to talk : firstname.lastname@example.org
In addition, I want to share my system. Will it be OK with this card ?
" Intel Core 2 Duo, E8400 @ 3.00GHz 3.01 Ghz
4.00 GB Kingston (I guess it is 800 mhz or something...)
64-bit Win 7 Ultimate
GeForce 8600 GTS Graphic Card.
300W Power Supply
Asus P5KPLM-AM mother board."
If you see the link I gave you, you will notice that 25 systems work successfully with the card.
Search for 'Hack' and everything is explained in detail.
Sharing such an underpowered system is not advisable and you need to replace your PSU. It can't handle such a card.
I searched but could not find a tangiable info. It is better if you give me the link for hacking it.
So you mean it is enough to change PSU to something like 400w or 450w ? Are other requirements OK ?

Get the Pro version, set system load to 100% and capacitor aging to 30% and then add 10-15% for safety to the calculated wattage.
Navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, open cuda_supported_cards.txt and add a line like:
GeForce GTX 560 Ti or the card you get and then save the file. Beware to get a version with at least 1 GB VRAM of the DDR5 type.
Look here: Benchmark Results and see comparable systems at rank 476 and 477 out of 492 today. That is why I said the system is underpowered and the only way to solve it is by getting a new system.
Awesome feedback !!
Im gonna buy GTX 560. But normal not the one "GTX 560 ti"
When I try to save the .txt file it says that access is denied. Quadro FX 1800
Change your file access rights to full.
If the card that Im gonna buy has the necessaries which are 1GB VRAM and DDR5, will it work properly ? I mean can it be any nvidia card with this necessaries ? (After changing the cuda_supported_cards.txt file)
Even if it doesn't respond "Access is denied", the Quadro FX 1800 will be permanently stuck in software-only MPE mode because it does not have enough VRAM to enable the GPU accelerated mode. Remember, the FX 1800 has only 768MB total VRAM, of which 19MB has already been eaten up by Windows itself. The GPU accelerated mode requires at least 765MB of free, unused VRAM - but a 768MB card like the FX 1800 has only 749MB of free unused VRAM.
I found these cards which are 1GB and GDDR5. I need your suggestion, which one is better ?
- GTX550TITANIUM Direct CU
- GTX460, Overlocked (775MHZ)
The guy in the shop said, the GTX460 (Overlocked) and the GTX560 are almost same. Is that true ? And lastly is it OK if I buy GTX550TITANIUM (for pure editing) ?
The 560. Newer generation, less power consumption, runs cooler and quieter.
But, will GTX550TITANIUM Direct CU see my job ?
It will. It's just that the GTX 550 Ti is slower overall than the GTX 560. The GTX 550 Ti has only 192 CUDA cores and a 192-bit memory bus while the GTX 560 has 336 CUDA cores and a 256-bit memory bus.
Thanks! But I only need it for Full HD video editing not for games or rendering speed. IS there any difference for editing Full HD videos between these two cards ?
