    Flex 4.5 remoting object destination

    Godly_Dev Level 1

      I am using a flex remoting object to talk to an endpoint that uses Zend_AMF to serialize the data from a PHP application.

      What is the purpose of the destination attribute in a remote object? I am not using a services-config.xml file.

      Here's what my remoteobject looks like:

      <mx:RemoteObject id="myservice" fault="myservice_faultHandler(event)" showBusyCursor="true" source="account" destination="zys" endpoint=http://localhost/www/gateway.php>

      While this works properly, destination is set to some random value, for example, if I change it to "abc", everything still works. However, if I remove the destination attribute, the application stalls and does not receive anything from the endpoint. The Actionscript 3.0 manual says that its "the destination of the service", which is very vauge.

      Can anyone explain what the "destination" attribute does and what is its significance?
