Hm ... similar thing happened to me once - only upper left quarter of adj. brush circles were shown and it was behaving erratically. Exiting PS and reentering solved the problem
Since version 6.5, I had ACR stability problems several times. Looks like a kind of memory leak to me, as exiting ACR doesn't solve the problem - I need to close PS completely
In my experience it's a video driver problem. I had the same problem and upgrading the video driver fixed it completely.
Photoshop is real fussy about video drivers.
Possible. However, all versions up to 6.4 performed flawlessly (and still do) while with 6.5 I had some stability problems. I also noticed this version is considerably bigger, so obviously there were some bigger internal changes.
My video card is Nvidia, XP 32 bit. I tried upgrading the driver about a year ago, when I changed my monitor, but Nvidia screwed something with levels on that version and I got banding, so returned the old driver, which never caused other problems
I have a mac book pro (specs above) can you even update the drivers?
Yes, I saw this myself once. It was a known issue with the nVidia driver IIRC.
seems this issue has been running for a couple of months...I'm hoping someone sorts this mess out soon I've been a mac user for years to avoid these types of issues
here's a link to another conversation on the same issue
