    issue with 1 channel inputs

    Michael Macherey Level 1

      Hello,

      i am trying to get this tutorial working.

      http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/flashbuilder4_pixelbender.html

      I use Pixel Bender Toolkit 2 Version 2.5.449694

      on Windows 7

      If i try this sample Code:

      <languageVersion : 1.0;> kernel SimpleCalculator < namespace : "PixelBender"; vendor : "Elrom LLC"; version : 1; description : "Simple calculator"; > { input image1 src; input image1 src2;  output pixel3 result;  } }

      void evaluatePixel() {    float x = pixel1( sample(src, outCoord()) );    float y = pixel1( sample(src2, outCoord()) );        float z = x*y;        result = pixel3( z, 0.0, 0.0);

      i got this two Errors:

      ERROR: (line 0): 1 channel inputs are not supported by the toolkit

      ERROR: (line 0): 1 channel inputs are not supported by the toolkit

      But why? In the PIXEL BENDER DEVELOPER’S GUIDE and the PIXEL BENDER REFERENCE 1 channel inputs are allowed.

      I try to figure it out since days, but can`t find any solution.

      I deinstallt Pixel Bender and reinstallt it, and searched in this forum, and googled about this issue, and even in the manuals i can`t find enything that could help me.

      PIXEL BENDER REFERENCE page 24:

      Image types

                     Pixel Bender supports images of up to four channels.

                          image1

                          image2

                          image3

                          image4

      Thanks a lot for any kind of help!
