I can't create any new documents in indesign, or open existing ones.

I have had problems with Indesign since I got a new MacBook Pro this spring.

When I launch Indesign, it gets stuck as soon as I try to open a docuement or create a new one.

I get the spinning ball forever and ever until I force quit.

Then I get an error report but I can't se any other error dialoges.

I had this problem both with CS5 and CS5.5.

The other applications of the Master Collection suite works though.

I am now running a trial because I don't want to buy it if it won't work

My computer is a MacBook Pro

Processor  2.2 GHz Intel Core i7,

      Memory  4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3,

Graphics  AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB

      Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74)

My old computer was about the same, just a year older, but it had less processing power.

I had no problems running Indesign on that one though.

      Things I tried:

I have tried to restart it in safe mode, with no results.

I wanted to try to delete the preference folder but with Lion I can't understand how I get to it (and since I never been able to use Indesign on my computer - would it matter?).

I have saved a error report but I guess I shouldn't post it here- it is 129 pages long

I would love to get some help - I am not very techy though, so I would love some really descriptive help
