    Upgrade to Adobe 10?

The great dog Chippie Level 1

I currently have abobe premier elements 4.0. I have noticed that there does not seem to be any real performance upgrades with successive premier releases (5.0-10). Performance being video/audio editing and use of keyframes. A lot of non-essentials such as more effects and easier sharing with you tube and facebook.  So my question is: do I  (1) upgrade to 10, given adobes penchant to have a lot of bugs in the new releases (2) Stay with what I have, or purchase  9 because it has been gone through the debugging cycle.  Or the big decision to migrate to premier pro or what every film editor in Australia uses Final Cut Pro. I am currently doing one man docos and promotional videos for clients.
