1. Re: How to Remove TWAIN from CS3?
Mylenium Oct 21, 2011 8:48 AM (in response to CatzCradle64)Well, chances are that if you remove TWAIN, nothing will work. In any case, it's merely a driver thing specific to your printer/ scanner and points to a configuration error. If you are feeling adventurous, delete the driver in Windows\System32\Twain and reinstall from scratch and also check your device manager for USB ports and the actual printer device, otehrwise check the driver settings. Such stuff usualyl relates to simplified vs. advanced modes for scan settings.

MTSTUNER Oct 21, 2011 1:06 PM (in response to CatzCradle64)Maybe you could just disable the Twain plug-in in photoshop if wia works good for you.
You can do that by going to the cs3 plug-ins folder under import-export and putting a tilde (~) symbol at the front of
the name.
The path for the plug-in is either: (whether you have a 64 bit system or not)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Plug-Ins\Import-Export
or
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Plug-Ins\Import-Export

3. Re: How to Remove TWAIN from CS3?
CatzCradle64 Oct 22, 2011 5:52 AM (in response to CatzCradle64)Thanks a lot Mylenium and MTSTUNER for your help!
When I tried disabling TWAIN first, a Wizard popped up asking me how I wanted to do my printing, and it work fine. But after the first time, even though the Wizard and scanning progress bar still popped up, the image didn't show up in Photoshop.
*sigh* I guess there's just no other choice than tolerate TWAIN for now, at least it only shows up for colour pages.xP
Thanks again to both for your advice and help!~
