Stan Jones Oct 22, 2011 5:51 AM (in response to Phoenicianvideo)"Resolution" refers to the number of pixels. DVD does not allow HD resolution. Y ou must downrez. You can keep a good quality image on the TV, but it will be standard definition.
You must go to bluray to keep the HD resolution.
If, by resolution, you mean "quality," then search for "HD to SD."
Are you exporting to the "MPEG2-DVD" preset, or the "MPEG2" preset? Use the MPEG2-DVD.

Ann Bens Oct 23, 2011 3:45 AM (in response to Phoenicianvideo)Exporting to a mpeg2-dvd preset gives two files: one for video .m2v and one for audio .wav or .ac3

Stan Jones Oct 23, 2011 4:29 AM (in response to Ann Bens)If Ann is on the right track, it means you brought only the m2v into Encore. Now "import as asset" the .wav (or ac3) and add it to the timeline you already created in Encore with the m2v.
I generally "import as timeline" in Encore and select both the m2v and wav. It puts them both on the original timeline.
