I'm not sure if it's what you're after, exactly, but check out the viewState
property of the Document object.
It contains various data about the current view state of the document, such
as X position, Y position, zoom level, zoom type, etc.
Since it's an opaque object, it's a bit tricky to access it. Use this code
to get its source value as a string:
I found also some doc object properties:
Could they be useful for my purpose? Have you ever used them?
The documentation suggests to assign a rect value to them. Could I read from them, instead? Are they assigned by the application?
Thanks in advance
I don't know what your purpose is... but these properties are read-only. You
can't assign a new value to them.
It is good if I can read from them, but are they assigned by the application? My purpose is just to get the positioning information of the pdf pages on the screen.
Which version of the reference files do you have? In the latest one (version
10.0 of the API Reference) all of these properties are defined as Read Only.
And yes, they are set by the application.
I downloaded the guide for the 9 version but the file says 7.0.5 version.
However, if they are set, I think my purpose is fulfilled, isn't?
Again, I don't know what your purpose is... if you just want to know these
settings, then yes, that's enough.
