This survey aims at improving our understanding of characteristics and practices in the development of software for mobile devices, such as cell phones, tablets, etc. The results of the survey will be used as a
starting point to identify specific needs in the area of mobile software engineering. The research is coordinated by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Christiane Gresse von Wangenheim, PMP at the GQS – Software Quality
Group at the INCoD - National Research Institute on Digital Convergence (http:// www.incod.ufsc.br) at UFSC - Federal University of Santa Catarina/Brazil. The survey is open to anyone who is involved
in the development of mobile software, because we feel that your experience in the context of mobile software development can contribute much to our understanding of the current state of practice. Your
participation in this research is entirely voluntary. If you accept, we would like to ask you to answer this questionnaire , which should take you about 20-30 minutes. All responses will remain confidential. Information
that we collect from this questionnaire will be shared only in a summarized way, not enabling the identification of individual answers. Survey results will be made public and will be available at the INCoD
website (http:// www.incod.ufsc.br). If you have any questions, please contact us: Christiane Gresse von Wangenheim (gresse@gmail.com). Please feel free to circulate this survey amongst your colleagues.
