artistdomain Oct 29, 2011 7:49 PM (in response to Darren Kelly)I assume you mean what's commonly called "external monitoring" via a monitor that supports rec. 709 HD color space. That's something that PC monitors don't do but pro production monitors do and consumer HD TVs do.
You could look at devices by Black Magic Design such as their entry level "Intensity Shuttle" which also serves as an input/output box. I assume you don't have any kind of input/output device because most all that I'm aware of also have a connection for pro-level monitoring. So you'd get a pro monitor connection, an assortment of input/out connections AND a CODEC to make editing easier on your computer.
