I spliced two clips (with no pixelation upon a test playback), and then added a default cross dissolve which caused a slight pixelation in one "frame." I tried cutting the offending "frame" out, but another pixelated frame appeared. I attempted removing and re-adding a replacement cross dissolve, but a pixelated "frame" kept appearing. Each time I removed the cross dissolve, the spliced clips played perfectly. I have used cross dissoved on other similar projects with no problems. Any suggestions?
Up the bitrate of your exports.
I appreciate your timely response, but I'm new to this and do not understand the suggestion. Can you please explain? Thank you.
Pixelation is usually due to insufficient bits to compress the scene without errors. If you increase the bitrate, more bits become available and you end up with a cleaner image.
