Please forgive a novice for asking what may be an obvious question. I'm not a java script writer.
I have a questionnaire form with some 20 pages of questions. I wish to ensure no compulsory questions are missed by the user. It would be a simple thing to make all the fields "required fields" but as the user progresses through the form certain fields become unnecessary based on their answers to early questions.
Is it possible to set a condition within a field that if fieldname "XXXXX" is value"XXX" (yes/no for example) then the current field properties are changed from "required" to "not required"?
First of all, the required property only comes into play when the form is
submitted. Is that the case with your file?
They are various places where this can be done. Either at the field level
(for example, using the Validate event) or at the point where you want to
submit the file, just before actually submitting it.
