Stan Jones Nov 1, 2011 2:30 PM (in response to jdmoor)I'll just say that I much prefer using "edit menu in photoshop."
But what you are doing should work.
How specifically are you adding the buttons? typing text, then convert to button?
What must be happeingin is that you are adding a lsyer that is blocking the video.

jdmoor Nov 1, 2011 4:44 PM (in response to Stan Jones)Stan,
Yes, typing the text then converting to a button. The problem persist even
after rending motion menus. BTW, I've used 'edit menu in photoshop and
deleted the black background layer, but that doesn't change anything either.
Thanks,
JD

3. Re: Video Background in Menu black
bigjaws Nov 1, 2011 5:35 PM (in response to jdmoor)That happens a lot to me. I don't know why, but every time you render and you make a modification after, the video won't work. You have to rerender it everytime, so I suggest you to render only at the end. I know it's a little strange but trust me, this happened to me 1000000 times. Don't ask me why it does this, I just know that it's like this.
Hope I helped you!

I don't think I've ever had this happen. The only time I have problems with a motion background not appearing, is when I have replaced the still background with something other than a layer converted to background.
I certainly agree that we go with whatever works for odd problems. Also, Encore has a history of problems when there are multiple corrections.

bigjaws Nov 2, 2011 4:03 AM (in response to Stan Jones)That happens to me everytime I use motion backgrounds! But like you said before, we find ways to resolve problems. There's many problems in this software but I keep using it because It's very powerful and I can do all the things I've imagined for dvd menus! I just hope that the next encore will be a little more powerful and faster...
