1. Re: Looking to adjust page and lettering size into mm
Monika Gause Nov 3, 2011 5:16 AM (in response to simpson246)For the page size: which version?
for the font size: As you need to convert the type to outlines for vinyl cutting anyway, just do it now and then use the transform panel (for instance) to adjust the size.

Steve Fairbairn Nov 3, 2011 5:17 AM (in response to simpson246)As far as I know the only way you can see the measurements of each individual letter is to outline the type (Cmd+Shift+O on a Mac).
To adjust the artboard size go to File > Document Setup
To adjust the size of the lettering, use the Transform palette. Click on the link mark on the right to constrain proportions.
Go to Preferences > Units & Display Performance to change units to millimetres.

5. Re: Looking to adjust page and lettering size into mm
tonyharmer Nov 3, 2011 6:50 AM (in response to simpson246)Actually, you can do both of those things quite simply.
Firstly, your page size can be set in the Document Setup option from the file menu, and simply type the numbers and the measurement units in the field: 1800mm
If you want to set all of your documents to use mm natively, simply have InDesign launched with no open documents, and go to the preferences. From there, choose Units.
For the type, simply add mm after the numbers in the size field. InDesign will automatically convert them to points. You can convert to outlines when you're ready to send the file.
