I’m not sure what issue you are referring to. Right-click menus in Panels got disabled in Flex 4 and are correctable by setting mouseEnabled=true, but there is no security issue related to it.
Well, yes, the Adobe response at that time was that it was disabled for security reasons. I am looking to know those security reasons.
Also, no, mouseEnabled does not make it work at all. Occasionaly you can get a container to turn it on, but I have yet to see a right click paste actually PASTE something into a textInput field.
Can you post the link to that information?
No I cant find it any more. This occured at the time of going to v4. We were unable to use right click paste so in researching we found Adobe had removed/disabled on install due to security reasons.
Now we need to impolement but I want to identify those security issues. then use a fix we created for global solution.
If mouseEnabled actually worked correctly this would not be an issue.
But once you actually build a real application and layer it down into the app panels, it does not work .
But no I have no link, hence the resquest for clarification on this matter.
Please post a simple test case.
Ok some progress and a question
The issue shows up on a TitleWindow popup.
When s:TitleWindow it does not allow right click paste.
When s:SkinnableContainer it does allow right click paste.
But i need titleWindow.
how can I best get this to work.
Placing the s:SkinnableContainer within the TitleWindow stops it from working.
Setting mouseEnabled=true on the TitleWindow should re-enable the right-click menu.
No, it won't. Replacing TitleWindow with SkinableContainer allows that but TitleWindow does NOT allow it and it does not change it and it does not work.
Is there something else that needs to change or be set?
Thanks fo rthe reply.
Sorry, forgot that the skin is also disabled. Try this:
<!-- Place non-visual elements (e.g., services, value objects) here -->
<s:TitleWindow creationComplete="mouseEnabled=true;skin.mouseEnabled=true" >
Thank you very much.
We already had a creationComplete so I added yours
and it works.
Thanks again. We really appreciate it!
My problem then was that I was adding mouseEnabled="true" to the parameters for the container as opposed to initializing it as you did.
