    Touch input latency/lag on Android




      I have a game that I ported from Java to ActionScript (actionscript mobile project - no flex - I hope this is the right forum). When I run it on the playbook it works beautifully at 40 fps and fast reaction time to user input (touch actions). However on Android, there is a ~2 seconds delay with the exact same code. The version on android runs at ~18 fps, so that is waaaay more than simply the waiting for the engine to react to the event.


      Any ideas what might be going on?


      I am using inputMode = TOUCH_POINT and no listeners on the mouse events - only Touch Begin/End/Move).
