1. Re: When printing to Epson R2400, the output is 50% size
Peter Spier Nov 11, 2011 5:19 PM (in response to BillDFletcher)Have you checked to be sure scaling is set correctly in both the print dialog and the driver?

BillDFletcher Nov 11, 2011 5:57 PM (in response to Peter Spier)Peter,
Thanks for the reply. I've tried different scaling in InDesign's print setup and I've downloaded a new driver for the Epson printer to see if that solved the problem. I don't know how to check the scaling in the printer driver. Any suggestions would help. However, I can print from other applications to the Epson printer and they print full scale and full page. Doesn't this imply that that any scaling problem is not with the printer driver?

Not knowing the OS I can't tell you specifcally how to get into the driver settings from ID (On Windows it's the Setup Button at the bottom of the print dialog, On mack I think it's called Print Setup). In the ID print dialog page scaling should be set explicitly to 100% in the setup section. I don't have your printer, so I don't know what driver options to tell you to check. Printing differntly in another application doesn't necessarily mean it is not in the driver.

6. Re: When printing to Epson R2400, the output is 50% size
BillDFletcher Nov 12, 2011 7:39 AM (in response to Rick Potts)Rick Potts,
There is a workaround. Go to File>Export.
Under format in the Export dialog box, select Adobe PDF (Print)
Save this PDF version to a folder.
When you want to print, select this PDF version which should open in Adobe Acrobat.
Go to File>Print in Acrobat and you should get a full size print.
I have a Mac computer which may be somewhat different from what you have. There's probably more than one way to get a printable PDF version.
Let me know if this works for you wdfletcher39@yahoo.com. I'm continuing to work on this problem and have requested help for various sources. Contact me again in two weeks if you want to see if I have a better solution.

7. Re: When printing to Epson R2400, the output is 50% size
Peter Spier Nov 12, 2011 8:04 AM (in response to BillDFletcher)I'm having a flashback that some Epson printers are a little flakey when it comes to printing from ID, and one workaround (the PDF solution is always good) that might work is to set the page size inthe printer dirver, then set the page size in ID's print dialog to "Defined by Driver."
